WHAT IS RED BERYL?
Red beryl, sometimes called red emerald, or by it's mineral name bixbite, is the rarest member of the beryl family (emerald, aquamarine, morganite, goshenite)

Our Faceted gems are cut from the finest gem grade hydrothermally lab grown crystals! They are superior in size, clarity and color.
The Mineral specimens shown below are from the Violet Claim Mine, Wah Wah mountains, Utah, as well as from the Thomas Range, Utah.
These are the only two places in the world where red beryl is found. Red beryl is very rare, crystals are small and included (GIA Type III)
Buyer Beware: There is often other stones that are dyed, fake, simulated (to look like) red beryl on some auction sites.
Color is wrong! Huge sizes are obvious fakes and it's dirt cheap. Don't be fooled!

Note: All faceted gems shown are cut from lab grown crystals; it's the ONLY red beryl that I cut.
Why? The crystals that are mined are normally small, fractured, and/or included, or if even cuttable, are very high priced.
The lab grown crystals I cut are 100% genuine red beryl, stoplight red, clean and are not simulated or faked imitation.

The extra cutting required, explodes the gems with firey red flashes!
